Barcelona, 30/05/2026.- The second day of the 53rd Trofeo Conde de Godó OOA proved challenging due to the very light wind conditions along the Barcelona coastline. An easterly breeze of barely 5 knots tested the skills of the Race Committees, who managed to take advantage of one of the few available wind windows to finally get a race underway. The almost complete disappearance of the wind forced the ORC fleet to return to the pontoons of the Real Club Náutico de Barcelona early in the afternoon after completing only one race. Meanwhile, the ORC A2 and Open classes sailed coastal courses. The day featured only one race per class, but brought important changes in several standings. In ORC 0, Tomás Gasset’s Vithas-Urbania retains the overall lead after winning the race and now holds a two-point advantage over the Spanish Navy’s Hispania, which finished second both in the race and in the overall standings. Toni Guiu’s Aproperties-Blue Carbon remains in third place and still has a chance to join the battle for the overall victory. |

In ORC 1, the spectacular duel continues between Hydra-HM Hospitales, helmed by José Ponce with Olympic champion Fernando León calling tactics, and Soler Cabot-Cornex Capital, steered by Luis Martínez Doreste. The final victory will be decided on the last day, with the two DK46 yachts separated by just one point. Kiloton, owned by Joan Ollé, remains in third place. ORC 2 appears to be the most defined category at the top of the leaderboard. The reigning World Champion Katara, owned by Argentine sailor Julián Somodi, claimed another victory and now boasts three wins from three races, remaining undefeated. The battle has shifted to the remaining podium positions, where Mágica, helmed by Marco Corno, and Julio Bernardeau’s Ebury Sailing Team are provisionally tied on 12 points in second and third place respectively. L’Immens, owned by Uruguay’s Nicolás González, remains in contention.

In ORC 3, L’Oreig of Martí Gelabert took another step towards overall victory. The Girona-based team won the only race of the day and extended its lead to three points over Italy’s Milkwave, owned by Alessandro Lotto. Yellow Rose of Marten Jan Ringers remains third. In ORC 4-5, nothing changes. Blue Star V of Ignacio Campo remains in the lead ahead of Tuppinamba and Ildemar IV. In the ORC A2 and Open categories, the fleets completed coastal courses. Wild, sailed by Alicia Gardes and Andreu Pujol, once again took victory in ORC A2, while Odysseus won in Open Group B. In Open Group A, Blue of Diana Corominas claimed another victory and continues to lead overall. Sunday will see the third and final day of racing in the Trofeo Conde de Godó OOA. The programme includes up to three races starting at 12:00, with the final warning signal scheduled no later than 15:30.
