After the PalmaVela regatta held at the Real Club Náutico de Palma, the first stop of the 2025 Mediterranean Sailing Circuit, the baton now passes to the 52nd Conde de Godó BMW Sailing Trophy, the second event on a calendar that will once again bring together the elite of Mediterranean sailing.

This circuit, now celebrating its sixth edition, combines under a single classification the results of three of the most emblematic regattas of the Spanish coast: PalmaVela (Palma), Trofeo Conde de Godó (Barcelona), and Trofeo S.M. La Reina (Valencia). Open to the ORC 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and A2 classes, the format requires participation in at least two of the three races to be eligible for the final ranking, ensuring a high level of commitment and competitiveness.

The action now moves to Barcelona’s waters, where the top contenders arrive aiming to consolidate their positions or regain lost ground ahead of the final event in Valencia. The reigning 2024 champions are already on course to defend their titles: from TP52 "Urbania" (MARINA BARCELONA) by Tomás Gasset in ORC 0, to Swan 45 "Smerit" by Tito Moure in ORC A2, followed by prominent entries like XP-55 "X-Odessa" (RCNB) by Vladimir Kusnir and Grand Soleil 43 "M8" (RCNV) by the French Armengot brothers.

In addition to the individual titles per class, the circuit maintains its collective trophy: the Mediterranean Interclubs Grand Prize, which will crown the best club represented based on the combined results of its sailors. The Real Club Náutico de Palma, winner in 2024, will defend its position of honor against the challenge from RCN Barcelona and RCN Valencia, among others.

Incentives and facilities for the fleet

To encourage participation, the organizing clubs offer discounts or member rates on moorings to all boats transiting between regattas. Additionally, as a further incentive, teams participating in all three events of the circuit in 2025 will be exempt from paying registration fees in 2026.

Excitement is guaranteed in this second leg of the Mediterranean Sailing Circuit, with the Conde de Godó Trophy as the protagonist in the coming weeks. The Mediterranean once again becomes the setting for the best in competitive sailing, with the top teams, clubs, and sailors battling for glory.
